Things you should know if you use Gmail

Things you should know if you use Gmail

If you are using Gmail then you might already be familiar with it's power! Gmail is the fastest e-mail service on the web..it gives superb interface and has too many features that most of the users are unaware of!

Forwarding and POP3 access

Forwarding fork brilliantly in Gmail. This service is a paid service in Yahoo! mail service whereas Gmail provides it at NO COST. Now suppose that I have 2 gmail addresses, bettertips & bettertips.blogspot and I give both the e-mails on my blog. People can send to either of the mail addresses but it would become extremely difficult for me to maintain both of them. So what I'll do is I will login to the email that I rarely use and got to Settings--Forwarding and POP3 and I'll set the forward e-mail to the one that I use most of the time. It's that simple and easy! You can also manage your from address from the Gmail inbox!!

Store Files at Gmail

Ever wondered of the untapped storage of your Gmail inbox? I am sure you might have wished you could use Gmail to store your Files and Documents. But hey, now you can! Yes, you can store your files and other documents as attachments in your Gmail. You simply need to download THIS Gmail Drive add-on software and you will find this drive in your My Computer folder.

Calendar

I don't know about you but I have started depending on this awesome tool! You can access this tool right from the Gmail inbox. You can schedule your time-table daily and also for the day. Whenever you receive some date or time or some sort of a schedule, Gmail recognises it and prompts if you want to add it to your calendar.

Spreadsheets

Google Labs have developed a cool new concept of online collaborating softwares. Although this concept might seem to be new to many of new, the very foundations of the Internet are laid on easy collaboration. Google Spreadsheets are nothing but a software like Excel but the best feature of Spreadsheets is that it is absolutely FREE and you can store it and collaborate online. You can save unlimited spreadsheets. But the storage capacity for an individual file is limited.
So don't just keep reading, enjoy Gmail and if you don't have a Gmail account just take time to drop an e-mail to me at bettertips[at]gmail[dot]com and I'll send you one!

Now I can say..... You Go(o) Gal (el) !!
